Kevin Brooks, a 7th generation African Nova Scotian, is the President and dedicated partner at Ayomikun Bus Charters Ltd, a Halifax-based tour company celebrating African Nova Scotian heritage. With extensive experience in tourism, Kevin curates immersive tours that blend historical exploration with engaging storytelling. His passion for education and community engagement ensures each tour fosters a deep appreciation for the region’s cultural legacy. 

Kevin believes that tourism can be a powerful tool for education and empowerment. His goal is to create tours that are not only informative but also inspiring, leaving participants with a renewed sense of connection to the African Nova Scotian legacy. He emphasizes the importance of personalized and engaging experiences, ensuring that each tour is tailored to meet the interests and needs of the group.

Peter R. Field – Vice President and Business Partner, Ayomikun Bus Charters Ltd.

Halifax, NS

With over 40 years of combined experience in the rail and bus industry, Peter R. Field brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and dedication to Ayomikun Bus Charters Ltd. A long-time resident of Nova Scotia for over 52 years, Peter’s deep-rooted connection to the province fuels his passion for providing top-tier transportation services that enhance community experiences. 

Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce from St. Mary’s University in Halifax, N.S., and a Pastoral Diploma from the Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada (CBAC), showcasing his strong business acumen and commitment to community values. As a husband, father of four, and proud grandfather, he understands the importance of safe, reliable, and customer-focused travel. 

His extensive expertise in transportation, combined with a heart for service, makes him an invaluable partner in delivering Ayomikun Bus Charters’ mission—to provide exceptional charter services while celebrating the rich heritage and untold stories of the African Nova Scotian community.

Dalton Cain – Vice President and Business Partner, Ayomikun Bus Charters Ltd.

Halifax, NS

Dalton Cain offers a wealth of experience and is committed to community development through tourism. Dalton has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and a keen understanding of international cultures by networking with members from the international communities.  

Throughout his career, he has held key positions in youth advocacy and residence support work. I am a results -driven professional training specialist with a passion for health and wellness. As well as community liaison and a community Ambassador.  

Dalton holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in General Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, equipping him with a solid foundation in business principles and strategic management. 

His goal is to bring to light, the hidden gems from his community along with shedding light on the greatness and talent that has come from the black communities to showcase our growth and resilience to the world while celebrating the rich heritage of the African Nova Scotian community.
